Teaching Assistant – Post 16Are you a Teaching Assistant who wants to have an impact on the outcomes for Post 16 SEMH students? If so, we need to talk.This fantastic Post 16 education setting is looking for 3 Teaching Assistants to join their team in September on a long-term basis to support SEMH students. As a Teaching Assistant you will be working on a 1-2-1 basis with young adults with barriers to learning and social emotional challenges that need support.You will be joining a fabulous team who are totally committed to preparing students through education for the world of work or further study.Job role: -\n

- Supporting Post 16 learners on a 1-2-1 basis enabling engagement in learning. \n
- Building trusting relationships with students who find it difficult to engage in education. \n
- Monitor, manage and support anxiety, finding ways to create emotional regulation. \n
- Encourage active communication and build confidence. \n
- Develop strategies to increase learning outcomes. \n
- Manage interventions and regulate behaviour through understanding and support. \n

- An experienced Teaching or Learning Support Assistant with SEMH experience. \n
- Used to working with students with barriers to learning. \n
- A valid DBS or willingness to obtain for the role. \n
- Understanding of SEMH and SEND gained in a relevant setting. \n
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature to support these students. \n
