About the Team

The Banking & Finance practice is recognised as one of the UK's premier finance teams, advising many of the world's leading banks, debt funds, institutional investors and sponsors on complex domestic and international financing transactions.

Its Funds Finance team is a market-leading practice acting for both lenders and borrowers across the full spectrum of fund finance products. The team advises on subscription (capital call), NAV, hybrid, GP, manager, umbrella and co-investment facilities, together with preferred equity solutions, supporting some of the most active participants in the European and global alternatives market.

Working closely with specialists across Investment Management, Private Equity, Real Estate and wider Finance, the team advises on transactions involving private equity, private credit, infrastructure, renewables, energy, real estate and secondaries funds across multiple jurisdictions. The practice combines deep technical expertise with a genuinely collaborative approach, providing lawyers with exposure to cutting-edge work and international clients.

The Role

\n

This opportunity is ideal for a Finance Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE who is looking to take the next step within a rapidly expanding and highly respected Funds Finance practice.

\n


\n

Working alongside leading partners and senior lawyers, you will advise on a broad range of complex fund financing transactions for banks, debt funds, institutional investors, sponsors and alternative asset managers. You will take a leading role on matters, enjoy significant client exposure and play an active part in the continued growth of the practice.

Your work will include:

  • Advising lenders and borrowers on subscription (capital call), NAV, hybrid, GP, manager and other fund finance facilities.
  • \n
  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documentation and related finance documents.
  • \n
  • Leading transactions from structuring through to completion, coordinating with colleagues across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.
  • \n
  • Advising clients across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private credit, renewables and other alternative investment sectors.
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives and market profile.
  • \n
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Requirements

\n


\n

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE gained within a recognised Banking & Finance practice.
  • \n
  • Strong experience advising on complex finance transactions, ideally including funds finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance or structured finance.
  • \n
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with experience of LMA documentation and sophisticated financing structures.
  • \n
  • Commercially minded with the confidence to manage transactions, build client relationships and take ownership of matters.
  • \n
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong organisational and project management skills.
  • \n
  • Experience supervising junior lawyers together with an enthusiasm for business development and helping grow a successful practice.
