People Partner (Employee Relations)

South East | Permanent | £55,000 plus £6,000 car allowance

Four days on site, one day from home

A regulated infrastructure business is appointing a People Partner to support its operational teams across the South East.

This is a hands-on, ER-led generalist position rather than a policy role.

The role

\n
• Manage employee relations cases end to end, including grievance, disciplinary, performance and absence
\n
• Advise and coach operational managers on policy, procedure and employment law compliance
\n
• Reduce case volume through early intervention and upstream resolution
\n
• Design and deliver manager training on performance and absence management
\n
• Support the Senior People Partners on restructure and organisational change projects
\n
• Maintain accurate people data and produce team reporting in line with GDPR
\n

Experience required

\n
• Background as an HR Advisor, ER Specialist or People Partner
\n
• Strong UK employment law knowledge and current live casework experience
\n
• Demonstrable track record of advising and influencing senior operational stakeholders
\n
• Experience designing and delivering manager training
\n
• Exposure to organisational change and restructure
\n
• Commercially minded, numerate and comfortable managing shifting priorities
\n
• CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent practical experience
