Job title: Japanese & English Interpreter/TranslatorThe Skills You'll Need: JLPT N1, Japanese, translation, interpretationYour New Salary: £14.60 per hour (equivalent of £28,470 per year)Location: Liverpool RemoteStatus: Agency temp (PAYE)Duration: 12 months temporaryWorking hours: 37.5 hoursJapanese & English Interpreter/Translator - Key ResponsibilitiesInterpretationProvide consecutive interpretation between Japanese and English.Support interpretation for 1:1 meetings, project meetings, executive summits, workshops, and other business discussions.TranslationTranslate content between Japanese and English, including:Emails, business documents, and subtitlesForum posts, chat messages, bug reports, and system ticketsInternal communications related to global business operationsOther ResponsibilitiesCoordinate deadlines and delivery schedules with requesters.Perform language quality assurance (LQA) and proofreading.Track translation requests and update progress in the ticketing system.Participate in regular online team meetings.Japanese & English Interpreter/Translator - Required QualificationsBusiness-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (approximately TOEIC 900+ and JLPT N1 or equivalent).Professional experience in English-to-Japanese translation.Experience translating consumer-facing content.Strong translation skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.Basic knowledge of the video game or software development industry.Understanding of how global organizations operate and communicate.Experience using CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools.Ability to prioritize translation requests based on business urgency.Experience with simultaneous interpretation.
