As a result of continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Managing the commercial delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects from contract award through to final accountPreparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accountsProcuring and managing subcontractors and suppliersProducing accurate cost forecasts, CVRs, and commercial reportsMonitoring project costs and ensuring commercial targets are achievedIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunitiesAdministering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligationsWorking closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and profitabilityBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, site teams, and key stakeholdersSupporting the Commercial Manager with strategic commercial decisions and reportingThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the groundworks or civil engineering sectorHousing and residential groundworks experience is essentialPrevious experience working with residential developers or housebuildersStrong understanding of commercial management and contract administrationExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsA proactive and commercially driven approachDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £45,000 - £75,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a leading North West groundworks and civil engineering contractorLong-term career progression within a growing and financially stable businessExposure to high-profile residential developments across the regionSupportive and collaborative commercial teamOpportunity to play a key role in the continued success of the businessApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
