\nSRM are recruiting for an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk. \n
\nThis is a great opportunity to join a busy Transactional Finance team, providing accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments based at our Group Services office in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. You will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the Purchase Ledger function, to deliver high-quality support to the business. \n

\nThe Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk role \n
\nKey responsibilities: \n
\nManage high-volume invoice processing, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and smooth workflow \n
\nReconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and oversee weekly BACS payment runs \n
\nAct as a senior point of contact for supplier and internal queries, ensuring prompt resolution \n
\nMaintain and improve purchase ledger processes, including e-invoicing systems and supplier data controls \n
\nSupport month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting \n
\nAssist the Purchase Ledger Manager with complex issues, team priorities, and continuous improvements \n
\nProvide guidance and support to junior team members \n
\nYour profile \n
\nYou are highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working to deadlines within a fast-paced finance environment. A strong team player, you take pride in delivering accurate work and providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. \n
\nYou will need: \n
\nExperience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable \n
\nStrong knowledge of finance systems (e.g. JD Edwards, COINS, Sage, Oracle) \n
\nProficient in Excel and Microsoft Office \n
\nExcellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail \n
\nAbility to work to tight deadlines and deliver high service standards \n
\nGCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English \n
\nAAT qualified or actively studying (desirable) \n
\nDesirable: \n
\nConstruction sector experience \n
