Electrical TechnicianLocation: East LondonSalary: £25-30 per hourContract: Long term TemporaryWorking Hours - 35 hours per week Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking for your next opportunity within Further Education? We are currently seeking a skilled and organised Electrical Technician to join a well-established FE College in London on a temporary basis.This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality Electrical Installation programmes, working closely with lecturers and students in practical workshop environments.The Role:As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for preparing workshops, maintaining equipment, supporting practical lessons, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. You will work alongside teaching staff to provide technical support across Electrical Installation courses.Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing electrical workshops, tools, equipment, and materials for practical sessions
\n
• Supporting lecturers and learners during practical activities
\n
• Maintaining, testing, and servicing electrical equipment and workshop resources
\n
• Managing stock levels and ordering consumables where required
\n
• Ensuring all workshops comply with health and safety regulations and safe working practices
\n
• Carrying out routine maintenance and housekeeping duties
\n
• Supporting the delivery of Electrical Installation programmes across the departmentRequirements:
\n
• Previous experience as an Electrical Technician or within the Electrical Installation industry
\n
• Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installation or a related electrical discipline
\n
• Good knowledge of electrical tools, testing equipment, and safe working practices
\n
• Strong organisational and communication skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
