Electrician | Field Based London Sites (Braintree Office as Required, approx. once a month)

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a skilled and fully qualified Electrician to join their expanding engineering team.

\n

The Role

\n

This is a field-based position, with the company office located near Braintree. The majority of your work will be carried out across client sites in Central London, predominantly within Zone 1, with occasional UK-wide travel depending on project requirements.

\n

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, this is a varied and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills beyond traditional electrical installation. You will work across a range of projects, support the delivery of the company's self-delivery model, and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

\n

This role would suit an experienced Electrician who enjoys working on varied projects, takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, and is keen to continue developing their skills while supporting colleagues and junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Carry out electrical installations, upgrades and modifications across commercial and industrial sites
  • \n
  • Complete inspection, testing and fault finding on electrical systems and components
  • \n
  • Support engineers, electricians and subcontractors during project delivery
  • \n
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for completed works
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to deliver projects to a high standard
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience within electrical installation, testing and maintenance
  • \n
  • Relevant electrical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation, or JIB/ECS Gold Card
  • \n
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • \n
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent) – essential
  • \n
  • AM2 qualification would be highly desirable
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations and safety standards
  • \n
  • Confident fault finding and resolving technical issues
  • \n
  • Ability to travel to the Braintree office when required
  • \n
  • A proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach with strong teamwork skills
  • \n
