Traffic Operator

We are seeking a hands-on experienced Traffic Operator to join a professional operations team in Southampton to support our general haulage operations across the UK.This is a great opportunity to join a family owned business.The Role:As a Transport Planner, you will be routing the delivery & collection of full loads UK wideYou must ensure all road transport legislation is adhered toRoutes must be planned in line with WTDAll administration must be completed and accurateYou will be liaising with Drivers and customers as appropriatePrevious Back Office Transport experience preferredTransport experienceExcellent geographical knowledgeDealing with existing customersRoute PlanningGood IT & Communication skillsLiaising with drivers within a busy environment, this is a constant challenge and the right candidate must have experience of this in a previous position.Dealing with drivers hoursTrailer rotationUse of a computerised TMS plus other bolt-on variables to enable the management of other parts of our operation.IT skills are necessary for the day to day operation in this roleTransport Planner will be routing the delivery & collection of full loads UK wideYou must ensure all road transport legislation is adhered toRoutes must be planned in line with WTDYou must ensure all road transport legislation is adhered toExcellent customer service skillsA strong team ethic both inside and outside the office.Previous experience within a similar roleCPC qualification not necessary however may assist you application.HoursHours: Rotational shifts between 06:00 and 18:00Weekend Work: 1 in 4 Saturday/Sunday mornings (additional payment provided)Benefits Monthly Paid RoleCompetitive Salary23 days holiday per yearCompany pension schemeLife insurancePlease note: We are only able to accept applications from candidates who already have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
