Job Title: Estimator / Procurement SpecialistContract: Full Time, PermanentLocation: Leicestershire (Onsite)Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 DOE + Company Car/AllowanceAre you an experienced Estimator with a strong understanding of procurement, supplier engagement and tendering within the construction sector?The Procurement & Supply Chain division at SF Partners are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing construction business looking to strengthen its Pre-Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative environment where you'll play a key role in delivering competitive tenders across a diverse range of construction projects.Working closely with the wider commercial and pre-construction teams, you'll be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, engaging with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring high-quality tender submissions are delivered within tight deadlines.If you enjoy combining commercial awareness, procurement expertise and estimating skills in a fast-paced environment, please read on...Key Responsibilities- Prepare competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for construction and refurbishment projects.- Review tender documentation to identify procurement requirements, subcontract packages and material specifications.- Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, managing the tender enquiry process from issue through to evaluation.- Assess and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and commercial accuracy.- Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support future tender opportunities.- Produce accurate take-offs and first-principle costings where required.- Identify pricing gaps and develop practical commercial solutions.- Prepare tender qualifications, exclusions and supporting cost documentation.- Assist with project programmes, preliminary costings and procurement planning.- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure tender deadlines are achieved.- Attend occasional site visits across the UK as part of the tender process.Experience & Skills Required- Previous experience within Estimating, Procurement, Commercial or Pre-Construction roles within the construction industry.- Strong procurement and supplier management experience, including obtaining and evaluating quotations.- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to interpret technical and tender documentation.- Strong negotiation and communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.If you're looking for a role where you can combine estimating, procurement and commercial expertise within a growing construction business, we'd love to hear from you.Easily commutable from Leicestershire, Ruby and Coventry.TPBN1_UKTJ
