Role: Logistics Manager

\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable DOE)

\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a fast-growing consumer goods business operating across both wholesale and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels.
\nThis role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with customer expectations across domestic and international markets.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nD2C & E-commerce Operations
\n- \n
- Own end-to-end D2C fulfilment across e-commerce and online marketplace channels. \n
- Ensure marketplace compliance and fulfilment readiness across multiple sales platforms. \n
- Develop scalable fulfilment processes that support business growth. \n
- Lead peak season planning, ensuring operational readiness during high-volume trading periods. \n
- Drive improvements in delivery performance, fulfilment accuracy, and cost-per-order metrics. \n
Carrier & Logistics Management

- Manage relationships with domestic and international courier, carrier, and freight forwarding partners. \n
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to optimise cost and performance. \n
Fulfilment & Distribution
\n- \n
- Oversee daily fulfilment and dispatch operations to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time. \n
- Monitor order volumes and operational capacity to support growing customer demand. \n
- Identify and resolve fulfilment bottlenecks to maintain operational efficiency. \n
International Shipping & Trade Compliance
\n- \n
- Manage export documentation, customs requirements, and international shipping processes. \n
- Proactively manage customs delays, clearance issues, and international logistics risks. \n
- Work with distribution and logistics partners to maintain smooth cross-border operations. \n
Strategic Logistics Development
\n- \n
- Support the evaluation and onboarding of new logistics and fulfilment partners. \n
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to improve inventory flow and distribution efficiency. \n
- Drive initiatives across packaging, labelling, shipping methods, and cost optimisation. \n
- Support logistics planning for product launches, promotional campaigns, and peak trading periods. \n
Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Proven logistics management experience within FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce environments. \n
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping operations. \n
- Experience managing D2C fulfilment, wholesale distribution, and marketplace logistics. \n
- Understanding of customs procedures, export documentation, and international trade compliance. \n
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, shipping platforms, and e-commerce technologies. \n
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation and supplier management skills. \n
- Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams. \n
