We’re working exclusively with a highly respected international engineering and project delivery organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner!

This position is ideal for an established HR professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and operational level. You’ll influence business decisions, support organisational growth and provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring people strategies are aligned with wider business objectives.

Working as part of a collaborative People team, you’ll build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, lead on complex people matters and contribute to business-wide transformation initiatives. The role offers real visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on culture, leadership capability and organisational performance.

Day to Day

  • Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, providing commercially focused HR support and strategic guidance.
  • \n
  • Deliver people plans that align with business priorities and long-term objectives.
  • \n
  • Manage a broad range of complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence, redundancy, restructures and TUPE.
  • \n
  • Support organisational change, transformation programmes and workforce planning initiatives.
  • \n
  • Use people data and HR metrics to identify trends, influence decision-making and improve business performance.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR policies, processes and ways of working.
  • \n
  • Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability and confidence in people management.
  • \n
  • Contribute to wider People projects, including organisational design, talent initiatives, ED&I and process improvement.
  • \n
  • Promote the use of technology, data and AI to enhance HR delivery and improve employee experience.

You’ll be an experienced HR Business Partner with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex business challenges. You’ll combine sound employment law knowledge with strong commercial awareness and enjoy working in environments where balancing business needs with people risk is critical.

  • Chartered CIPD member with CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Significant experience operating as a senior HR or People Business Partner.
  • \n
  • Strong track record of independently managing complex employee relations matters.
  • \n
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and business transformation.
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills.
  • \n
  • Confident analysing people data to support strategic decisions.
  • \n
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
