We are currently seeking a Qualified Waking Night Support Worker to join our team and help create a stable, nurturing environment for children during the night.

About the Role\n

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting each young person's physical, emotional, and social development. Your commitment to safeguarding and well-being will ensure that our children feel safe and supported during the night.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Stay awake and alert throughout your shift to ensure the safety and well-being of each young person.
\n
• Provide calm, compassionate support during the night, recognizing that this can be a challenging time for some children.
\n
• Support individual bedtime routines and engage in suitable nighttime activities.
\n
• Maintain accurate computer-based records and adhere to all safeguarding procedures.
\n
• Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services and handle calls professionally.
\n
• Act as a positive role model for both colleagues and young people.
\n

What We Offer\n

• Competitive salary of up to £31,867.18 per annum (dependent on qualifications).
\n
• Comprehensive induction and mandatory training to support your development and progression.
\n
• Fixed rota pattern: \n
  \n
  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (60 hours)
  \n
  • Week 2: Wed, Thu (24 hours)

\n
• Minimum average of 168 hours per month.
\n
• 236 hours annual leave per year, increasing by 12 hours each year for 3 years (up to 272 hours).
\n
• Pension scheme after the qualifying period.
\n
• Fully funded enrolment onto required qualifications if not already held.
\n

Essential Skills Required\n

• Strong team player with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
\n
• Understanding of safeguarding and how to protect children.
\n
• Able to follow delegated tasks and produce clear, detailed handovers.
\n
• Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
\n
• Well-organized, with the ability to plan and prioritize work.
\n
• Willing to work towards the relevant qualification if not already held; a Children's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable.
\n

Working Conditions\n

This is a permanent position located in Greater London, covering Area Camden homes in Camden, Haringey, and Islington. Your specific hours will be from 20:00pm to 8:00am, working 12-hour shifts.
