The Department of Care, Sport, Business and Communities wishes to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer to work in Supported Programmes with learners across SCQF levels 2 to 5, undertaking accredited qualifications.

\n

You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching, whilst ensuring alternative methods of deliver and assessment are utilised where necessary. You will foster good relationships with young people, their carers and other support agencies and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learning experience.

\n You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally hold relevant professional qualifications and have experience in delivering Supported Learning. You will have strong organisational skills, familiarity with e-learning platforms and online teaching tools and an understanding of the changing learner demographics and needs.

\n

You should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with teaching methodologies as well as having a proven track record of improving student outcomes and retention rates.

\n

Additionally you will have experience of working with young people who are disadvantaged or vulnerable and therefore demand additional attention, care and consideration. Experience of delivering outdoor education would be an advantage.
