Nursery - Early Years Educator

Our client is looking for a dedicated, qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our team.

We are seeking a practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality, inclusive care and education and who understands the importance of supporting every child as an individual.

This role would suit someone who is confident in implementing the EYFS, supporting children's individual development and working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.

About the Role

As a Qualified Early Years Educator, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children.

You will work as part of a supportive team to create a safe, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, inclusive care and education for children.
\n
• Support the daily practice within the room, helping to maintain a consistent, nurturing environment.
\n
• Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in line with the EYFS and Birth to Five Matters.
\n
• Follow children's individual interests, needs and stages of development when planning experiences.
\n
• Complete meaningful observations, assessments and next steps, with a clear focus on children's progress.
\n
• Support children with SEND through appropriate strategies, targeted interventions and individualised approaches.
\n
• Follow and contribute to individual support plans, including SEN Support Plans, working closely with the Nursery SENDCo.
\n
• Use strategies such as modelling, scaffolding, visual supports and structured routines to support children's learning and development.
\n
• Support children's communication, interaction, independence and emotional regulation.
\n
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to ensure inclusive practice is embedded consistently.
\n
• Adapt activities and the learning environment to support children's individual needs.
\n
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality.
\n
• Contribute positively to the nursery environment and the wider team.
\n

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a practitioner who is:

• Qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare – essential
\n
• Experienced in working within an early years or nursery setting.
\n
• Knowledgeable and passionate about the EYFS and child development.
\n
• Experienced in supporting children with SEND or additional needs.
\n
• Confident in using a range of strategies to support children's learning and development.
\n
• Patient, caring, enthusiastic and nurturing.
\n
• Passionate about creating positive outcomes for children and their families.
\n

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification

Minimum 2 years' childcare experience

Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development

Experience supporting children with SEND – desirable

Enhanced DBS – Update Service preferred

Paediatric First Aid – desirable
