Quantity Surveyor

Your new companyA well-established infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a busy programme of works. Due to an increase in workload and an urgent requirement within the commercial team, they are looking for a hands-on QS who can quickly integrate into the business and support project delivery from a commercial perspective.Your new roleAs Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing project costs, budgets, forecasting, subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting across a portfolio of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain commercially compliant and financially controlled whilst administering NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, although regular office attendance is expected to maintain collaboration with the wider team.What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities environments.
\n
• Strong NEC contract experience is essential.
\n
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and commercial reporting.
\n
• Ability to manage workloads independently and take ownership of projects.
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Previous experience within the utilities sector would be advantageous.
\n
• M&E commercial experience would be beneficial.
\n
