Driver Project Services (part of the Diales Group), is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing Project Management, Commercial Management, Planning and Specialist Dispute Services (through our sister company Diales), to the construction and engineering sectors.

As part of our growth plans, we are looking to recruit an Associate Director to join our London based team.

\n


\n


\n

The role:

\n


\n

The position combines project delivery with business growth responsibilities including commercial leadership and project delivery.

\n


\n

You will work closely with one of our existing Operations Directors and assist with the management of existing commissions as well as support business development activities including new client engagement and opportunity identification.

\n


\n


\n

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

\n


\n
    \n
  • Lead commercial management across a range of construction and engineering projects.
  • \n
  • Manage contracts, variations, procurement and reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • \n
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project teams.
  • \n
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality delivery.
  • \n
  • Support and deputise for the Operational Director where required.
  • \n
  • Business Development and client engagement.
  • \n
  • Support business development activities, including client engagement and opportunity identification.
  • \n
  • Build and develop your professional network within the industry.
  • \n
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and client presentations.
  • \n
  • Work alongside senior leadership to help grow our South region.
  • \n

Key candidate criteria:

\n


\n
    \n
  • Academic background in Engineering/Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or other, related discipline.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in operating at Senior Commercial Manager level or above.
  • \n
  • Previous experience of working within main contracting and/or PQS / consultancy environment.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, variations and reporting.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of NEC3, NEC4 and/or JCT contracts.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset with an interest in developing business and client relationships.
  • \n
