Operations Manager
Job Description
Job Purpose:
\nThe Operations Manager is responsible for leading all operational and business activities within the Nexos Power business across Bromsgrove and Sheffield facilities. The role ensures safe, effective, efficient, and commercially sound delivery of services, consistent operational standards, and strong performance across all power-related products and services. The Operations Manager acts as the primary operational interface between the Power business and Group functions, ensuring alignment with Group strategy, governance, and performance expectations.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nOperational Leadership & Delivery
\n- \n
- Lead day‑to‑day operations for the Power business, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality delivery. \n
- Oversee planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational readiness across all power products and services. \n
- Ensure operational performance meets agreed KPIs, SLAs, and customer expectations. \n
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence. \n
- Develop and maintain serial manufacturing principles across Power products \n
Business Management & Commercial Oversight

- Manage commercial performance of the Power business, including cost control, forecasting, and margin protection. \n
- Support bid development, tender reviews, and commercial risk assessments, through verified price lists or robust estimating templates \n
- Ensure operational input into pricing, proposals, and contract delivery models. \n
- Monitor business performance and provide regular reporting to the Group COO. \n
Technical & Project Coordination

- Coordinate technical delivery, engineering support, and product execution within the Power business. \n
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, engineering assurance, and project governance. \n
- Support delivery of major Integrated Nexos projects, ensuring safe, timely, and commercially viable outcomes. \n
HSE, Quality & Compliance

- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to Group HSE and Quality standards. \n
- Lead incident response, investigation, and learning within the Power business. \n
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. \n
People & Leadership
\n- \n
- Lead and develop operational teams within the Power business, ensuring capability, engagement, and performance. \n
- Support workforce planning, competency development, and succession planning. \n
- Role model Nexos values and behaviours. \n
Group Integration & Collaboration
\n- \n
- Work closely with Group Operations, Technical, Commercial, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment and consistency. \n
- Provide operational insight to Group strategy, planning, and governance forums. \n
- Contribute to Group-wide initiatives, systems, and continuous improvement programmes. \n
Experience & Qualifications
\n- \n
- Strong operational management experience within power, energy, electrical services, or related technical environments. \n
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and deliver commercial outcomes. \n
- Experience in manufacturing processes, technical coordination, or engineering-led environments. \n
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE, quality, and operational governance. \n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills. \n
