An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Executive Assistant to join the Family team of a highly regarded law firm based in Central London.
\nThis is a varied and fast-paced position supporting Partners and Fee Earners, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. \nThe Role
\nAs the Family Legal EA, you will:
\n- \n
- Provide comprehensive Executive Assistant support to Partners and Fee Earners within the Family team. \n
- Manage busy diaries, coordinate meetings, organise UK and international travel, and oversee inbox and telephone management. \n
- Prepare, amend and format legal documents and correspondence to a consistently high standard. \n
- Handle legal administration including file opening and closing, billing, document production and electronic filing. \n
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, seminars and webinars, including room bookings, technology setup and hospitality. \n
- Manage the department's document management system, knowledge resources and key contact information. \n
- Prepare agendas, arrange departmental meetings, take minutes where required and follow up on action points. \n
- Liaise with internal departments including Finance, HR, IT and Office Services to ensure seamless support across the team. \n
- Assist with the preparation of court bundles, client documentation and other legal materials where required. \n
- Support financial processes including billing, work in progress (WIP) management and aged debt monitoring. \n
- Help coordinate new joiner onboarding, training schedules, CPD records and departmental initiatives. \n
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to junior secretarial staff, helping to maintain consistently high service standards. \n
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and responsive service at all times. \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Legal Executive Assistant or Senior Legal PA within a law firm. \n
- Ideally experience supporting a Family law team, although candidates from other legal disciplines with strong EA experience will also be considered. \n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. \n
- Strong diary management and coordination experience. \n
- Experience with billing, WIP management and legal administrative processes. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach. \n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using legal document management systems such as iManage. \n
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with exceptional attention to detail. \n
- The confidence to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a busy team. \n
