Solicitor Social Housing / Property (In-House)Location: Buckinghamshire/hyrbidSalary: £60,250 + excellent benefitsHybrid working: minimum 2 days per week in the officeA leading housing organisation with a strong social purpose is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its established in-house Legal Services team.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with a background in social housing, housing management and property litigation to join a supportive and collaborative legal function, providing specialist advice across a broad range of housing and property matters.Reporting to the Head of Legal Services , you will work as part of a dedicated legal team, partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation and providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.The RoleYou will manage a varied caseload covering both contentious and non-contentious housing and property matters, including:Housing management and landlord & tenant mattersPossession proceedings and possession preventionDisrepair claimsInjunctions and access issuesLeasehold and service charge disputesProperty-related matters, including agreements, licences and deedsSupporting operational teams with legal risk management and complianceRepresenting the organisation at court, tribunal and other hearings where requiredYou will also have the opportunity to contribute to improving legal processes, support knowledge sharing across the organisation and work closely with senior leaders on complex matters.About YouThe successful candidate will be:A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a current practising certificateIdeally 3+ years PQE with recent experience in social housing lawExperienced advising housing providers, local authorities or social housing clients in private practiceConfident managing a complex caseload with minimal supervisionExperienced in both contentious and non-contentious housing mattersComfortable advising senior stakeholders and translating legal advice into practical solutionsExperienced in court and tribunal advocacyExperience with wider property matters, data protection, regeneration or development work would be advantageous.Whats on OfferSalary of approximately £60,250Hybrid working pattern 2 days per week in the office and 3 days from homeChoice of office base in Buckinghamshire or HertfordshireExcellent benefits package including:Generous pension contributionEnhanced family leaveHealth cash planLife assurance and income protectionFlexible benefits optionsProfessional subscription supportTraining and development opportunitiesVolunteering opportunitiesThis is an opportunity to join a respected organisation where your legal expertise will directly support communities and help shape the delivery of high-quality housing services.For further details and a confidential discussion, please get in touch.TPBN1_UKTJ
