Maintenance Electrician

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000
39 hours per week | Rotating shift pattern (1 in 3 weekends)

\n We're offering an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team, supporting the delivery of essential services that keep secure environments safe, compliant and operational.

Responsibilities

\n
• Planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including associated administrative tasks
\n
• Fault finding and problem solving on a range of electrical systems
\n
• Like-for-like replacements and minor electrical works
\n
• Carrying out electrical inspections and testing in accordance with BS7671, with accurate recording of results
\n
• Ensuring all electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational
\n
• Supporting the Responsible Person and Authorised Person when required
\n
• Ensuring Health & Safety standards, risk assessments, and safe systems of work are consistently followed
\n
• Assisting with escorting duties and other site-related tasks as required
\n

Requirements

\n
• City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
\n
• BS7671 18th Edition (17th Edition considered with up-skilling available)
\n
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
\n
• Experience in planned and preventative maintenance
\n
• Good organisational and time management skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
\n
• Experience working to tight deadlines
\n
• Comfortable working at heights
\n
• Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
\n
• Basic IT skills
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Experience with fire alarm and CCTV systems
\n

Clearance: Security Clearance, Standard DBS and Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) arerequired.
