Your Role and Responsibilities\n

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils
\n
• Assisting the classroom teacher during lessons
\n
• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other staff to meet pupils' needs
\n
• Supervising pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips
\n
• Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation
\n
• Setting work and marking where appropriate
\n
• Building positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and positive learning outcomes
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

To thrive in this role, you should have:

\n

\n
• A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
\n
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
\n
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
\n
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas such as food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes, or school yoga
\n
• Experience in behaviour management techniques
\n
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
\n
