Location: South London (Hybrid or Remote)

A well-established law firm is looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead its software development function and help drive the delivery of high-quality business-critical applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical oversight. You'll work closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve development processes, support software delivery and guide technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the development function.

• Improve SDLC, Agile and DevOps practices.

• Drive engineering standards and software quality.
\n
• Support architecture, release management and technical delivery.
\n
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
\n
• Identify opportunities to modernise applications and improve performance.
\n

About You

You'll have experience leading software development teams within a commercial environment, with strong knowledge of:

• Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET
\n
• SQL Server and Azure
\n
• SDLC, Agile and DevOps
\n
• Software architecture and engineering best practice
\n

Experience within legal or professional services is beneficial but not essential.
