Role: Employment Paralegal

Duties and responsibilities\nAs an Employment Paralegal/Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Employment Department and delivering excellent legal services to clients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Reporting directly to the Department Director. \n
- Assisting with a broad range of Employment Law matters, including: Discrimination claims, Unfair dismissal, Redundancy, TUPE matters, Settlement agreement negotiations, Mediation and dispute resolution,Breach of contract claims,Conduct-related employment issues \n
- Attending client meetings, taking instructions and preparing cases. \n
- Undertaking advocacy where appropriate. \n
- Managing correspondence and client communications effectively. \n
- Maintaining accurate time recording and costing procedures. \n
- Implementing recommendations arising from monthly file reviews promptly and efficiently. \n
- Ensuring compliance with file management procedures and regulatory requirements. \n
- Demonstrating excellent client care through a professional, proactive and empathetic approach. \n
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

- A strong academic background, including a Law degree. \n
- Experience working as an Employment Paralegal, Employment Advisor or in a similar Employment Law role. \n
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of Employment Law. \n
- Experience handling a broad range of employment matters and tribunal-related work. \n
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- The ability to work independently while recognising when to seek guidance. \n
- Commercial awareness and the ability to promote the firm's services where appropriate. \n
- Strong client care and interpersonal skills. \n
- A professional, self-motivated and team-oriented approach. \n
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems. \n
