Conflicts & New Business Intake Analyst

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Conflicts and New Business Intake Analyst to join its New Business & Conflicts team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the firm’s New Business & Conflicts team as a Conflicts and New Business Intake Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s new business processes, ensuring conflict checks and intake procedures are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with internal policies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and analysing research reports with the Director of New Business & Conflicts, Lateral Compliance Manager, and NB&C team members to identify issues and scope of conflict
\n
• Performing data entry and analysis of conflicts data submitted through conflict check requests
\n
• Monitoring conflict and information quality control, with a focus on data accuracy and information management
\n
• Ensuring timely and efficient processing of lateral and conflict requests
\n
• Communicating via email and telephone regarding lateral, new business, and conflict submissions in accordance with firm policies and procedures
\n
• Reviewing incoming lateral Professional Responsibility Questionnaires (PRQs) for accuracy and completion
\n
• Processing PRQs for firm-wide new hires, including partners, of counsel, associates, paralegals, and temporary attorney positions
\n
• Cross-referencing conflict reports for new hires
\n
• Corresponding with the Recruitment department regarding requests for additional details and information on lateral candidates
\n
• Employing and enforcing risk management processes and procedures
\n

Requirements

• Previous experience within a law firm, professional services or regulated environment, ideally within conflicts, risk, compliance, intake or legal operations
\n
• Experience using conflicts, intake or workflow systems would be advantageous
\n
