Legal Assistant – Private Client
\nLocation: Warrington
\nHours: 9:00am – 5:15pm, Monday to Friday (Office Based)
\nSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience

\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join our friendly, well-established Private Client team in Warrington.

\nThe Role
\nWorking closely with our Private Client fee earners, you will play a key role in ensuring matters progress efficiently while providing excellent support to clients and colleagues.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Handling enquiries from clients, solicitors and other third parties. \n
- Providing client updates and monitoring the progression of matters. \n
- Opening and closing files on the case management system in accordance with AML requirements, quality standards and SRA regulations. \n
- Assisting with the drafting of routine correspondence, legal forms and documents under supervision. \n
- Preparing and submitting applications and legal documents to the Probate Registry, HMRC, Certainty and other relevant organisations. \n
- Organising, securely storing and releasing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Grants of Probate and other legal documents. \n
- Registering Wills with Certainty and carrying out relevant searches. \n
- Maintaining fee earners' diaries, appointments, calendars and contact lists. \n
- Monitoring key dates and deadlines. \n
- Preparing bills, processing payments and receipts, and liaising with the finance team. \n
- Preparing Estate Accounts using Microsoft Excel. \n
- Handling overflow telephone calls and delivering excellent client service. \n
- Providing reception cover when required. \n
- Preparing banking and post. \n
- Undertaking general administrative duties and supporting the wider office as needed. \n
About You
\nWe are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working as part of a team.
\nYou will ideally have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, preferably within Private Client. \n
- A good understanding of the day-to-day operations of a legal office. \n
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. \n
- Experience using case management software. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities. \n
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment. \n
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. \n
- A professional, positive and client-focused approach. \n
