We're looking for a Senior Development Chemist to join our EMEA R&D team, playing a key role in developing and enhancing adhesive technologies for the Building Components and Durable Goods markets.

What You'll Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • Lead development projects from concept through to commercialisation, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
  • \n
  • Develop and test new adhesive formulations to support product line expansion.
  • \n
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing process improvements and scale-up activities.
  • \n
  • Partner with customers to understand current and future application requirements.
  • \n
  • Support customers through product testing, technical presentations, and application advice.
  • \n
  • Build relationships with technical stakeholders and raw material suppliers.
  • \n
  • Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
  • \n
  • Represent the business at relevant industry associations and technical forums.
  • \n
  • Produce technical reports and maintain HSE and COSHH documentation.
  • \n
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

Essential

\n
    \n
  • Degree (BSc or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline
  • \n
  • Experience within a product development, formulation, or development chemist role
  • \n
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • \n
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills
  • \n
\n


\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Experience formulating and testing adhesives, sealants, or related chemical products
  • \n
  • Knowledge of reactive chemistries, particularly:
  • \n
  • Polyurethane (PU)
  • \n
  • Polysulphide (PS)
  • \n
  • Silicone (Si)
  • \n
  • Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up and process optimisation
  • \n
