The Opportunity

We are working with a life sciences business looking to appoint a Business Operations Manager on an initial six-month contract.

\n


\n

This is a varied, hands-on position supporting senior leadership across business operations, commercial administration, finance coordination and general company support.

\n


\n

The role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing several priorities independently within a small and evolving organisation.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Support day-to-day business and commercial operations.
  • \n
  • Coordinate confidentiality agreements and other standard documentation.
  • \n
  • Maintain organised document-management processes and accurate company records.
  • \n
  • Support the management of shared information platforms, including access control, document uploads and version management.
  • \n
  • Maintain records of external contacts, commercial activity and ongoing discussions.
  • \n
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of presentations, reports and internal documents.
  • \n
  • Support contract administration and general compliance activities.
  • \n
  • Assist with invoice processing, account reconciliation and scheduled payments.
  • \n
  • Coordinate information between internal teams, external advisers and service providers.
  • \n
  • Provide general operational and administrative support to senior leadership.
  • \n
  • Support onboarding and wider company administration as the organisation grows.
  • \n

Experience and Skills

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience in business operations, commercial support, project support or administration.
  • \n
  • Experience within life sciences, healthcare, technology or another regulated industry would be beneficial.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Comfortable handling confidential information and business-critical documents.
  • \n
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
  • \n
  • Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and document-management systems.
  • \n
  • Experience with finance or accounting platforms would be advantageous.
  • \n
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working within a growing business.
  • \n
