Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a SeniorQuantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places - Building Solutions team based in London.Location: LondonHours: 40 hours a week 08:30 17:00We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial resources of construction projects, working on exciting refurbishment and re-cladding projects valued between £5m - £15m. You'll be part of a collaborative team that's committed to delivering high-quality projects for strategic clients across London, making a positive difference to communities every day.What will you be responsible for?As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in maximising project profitability and managing commercial relationships. Your day to day will include:Managing commercial resources and maximising planned gross margin through careful placement and control of contractsTendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plantIdentifying, negotiating and agreeing project variations with customers and suppliersMeasuring, valuing and agreeing work progress to support invoicing and payment processesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chainWhat are we looking for?This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:You have a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable) and relevant experience in a similar roleYou possess strong communication skills and can work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersYou're highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlinesYou're confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systemsYou're collaborative, willing to share knowledge and support others whilst taking initiative when neededRewards and benefitsWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
