At Bay View Childcare, we’re on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our welcoming team in Capernwray, Carnforth. In this fulfilling role, you’ll work in one of our family-style homes, supporting up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Your Impact\n

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in helping children build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes. Your mission will be to create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment where every young person can thrive. All our homes are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, and we need dedicated individuals like you to help maintain these high standards.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver high-quality care and key worker support, consistently meeting and exceeding Ofsted standards.
\n
• Build trusting, positive relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
\n
• Contribute to individual care plans and support routines that foster confidence and life skills.
\n
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment, assisting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping.
\n
• Support children through daily activities, supervising closely and responding appropriately to any concerns.
\n
• Accurately record progress, behavior, incidents, and feedback, ensuring clear communication with management.
\n
• Complete and follow risk assessments for all activities, upholding policies and childcare regulations.
\n
• Act as a positive role model, promoting belonging, inclusion, and a culture of trust and teamwork.
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
\n
• If you don’t already hold a relevant qualification, you’ll complete either the Level 3 Diploma or Level 4 Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years.
\n

Working Conditions\n

This is a Full Time, Permanent position with a shift pattern of 40 hours per week. You’ll enjoy a competitive base salary of £26,603.20 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £33,323.20 per annum through sleep-in shifts.
