Our client is a highly established international company who offer deliver and offer full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning on a wide range of project sectors, including data centre across Europe!They are currently seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their project team on a major Data Centre project in the North East. This role is suitable for someone who is eager to step into a Senior role, or an established Senior QS looking to further progress in their career!This project will run onsite in the North East for at least 5 years and the role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives.All travel & accommodation (if travelling) will be covered!RequirementsManage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecyclePrepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsLead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiationsManage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accountsMonitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial controlSupport and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost managementEnsure all contractual documentation is maintained and up to dateAttend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project ReviewsEvaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirementsPrepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accountsProvide commercial advice and support to the wider project teamEnsure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company proceduresAssist in the preparation of financial reports for senior managementProactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issuesSkills & QualificationsBachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar disciplineStrong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projectsProven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administrationStrong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practicesAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teamsData centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageousBenefitsOpportunity to work for a market leader in the Data centre industryCareer progression and development supportedCompetitive salary packagesIf you are interested, please send your CV to BenTPBN1_UKTJ
