Merritt Recruitment specialises in recruitment for the Chemical, Life Sciences, Polymer, Personal Care & Cosmetics, Nutrition and Scientific sectors across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our Dartford office and receive full training to become a specialist recruiter within these industries.

The Role

You'll learn all aspects of recruitment, including:

• Sourcing and interviewing candidates
\n
• Managing recruitment processes
\n
• Building relationships with clients and candidates
\n
• Advertising vacancies and market mapping
\n
• Using LinkedIn and other tools to identify talent
\n
• Attending industry networking events, conferences and exhibitions
\n
• Representing Merritt Recruitment at trade shows and exhibition stands
\n

Requirements

\n
• Degree qualified in any discipline.
\n
• A background in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related subject is desirable.
\n
• Alternatively, experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, HR, Resourcing or a customer-facing commercial role, combined with a genuine interest in science and technology sectors.
\n
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
\n
• Confident building professional relationships and speaking with people at all levels.
\n
• Commercially minded and motivated to develop a career in recruitment.
\n
• Must live within commuting distance of Dartford.
\n
• Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
\n
• No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.
\n

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit either:

• A science graduate looking to build a commercial career outside the laboratory; or
\n
• A graduate with recruitment, HR, talent acquisition or resourcing experience who has an interest in scientific, technical and manufacturing sectors.

You will be proactive, relationship-focused, commercially aware and enthusiastic about meeting new people, attending industry events and developing expertise within specialist scientific markets.
