Anaerobic Digestion Plant Operator

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, someone who is perhaps from an agricultural background and someone who can drive mobile plant.The Plant Operator role will be paying a great salary with overtime potential and we're open to speaking to people with different levels of experience and the salary discussed will reflect this.If you enjoy working outside, like being part of a team and want to learn and progress in the renewable energy sector, please apply below.Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Operator roleReporting to the Plant Manager you will:Support the safe, efficient daily operation of an anaerobic digestion plantMonitor and optimise performance via the control systemManage material intake and feeding in line with operational plansRecord and report plant data and performance metricsComplete routine inspections, checks and basic first-line maintenanceIdentify and escalate faults or process issuesConduct routine sampling of the organic material and process monitoringOperate the weighbridge and maintain accurate documentationMaintain site security, housekeeping and compliance with permits and proceduresAssist with maintenance activities and participate in the on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidaysProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Experience working in an agricultural, process-driven, industrial or energy environmentStrong awareness of health, safety and environmental complianceBasic mechanical aptitude with the ability to undertake first-line maintenanceIT literacy and confidence working with plant control or monitoring systemsA full UK driving licence.Personal skillsThe Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:Proactive and safety-conscious.Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.Methodical with strong attention to detail.Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.A strong team player with good communication skills.Salary and benefits of the Plant Operator roleSalary is dependant on level, please enquire with AstuteCompany pension schemeOngoing training and developmentMon to Fri position with paid 1 in 4 or 5 weekend rotaOpportunity to work within a growing renewable energy sectorINDREN#LI-TN1Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
