We are on the lookout for an Architectural Technologist to join our dynamic Group Property Development Team!
\nIn this role, you will provide specialist technical support across all property development projects, focusing on both new and existing sites. You will also contribute to fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement within the wider Development team.
Your Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct desktop appraisals to assess site suitability for gym conversions. \n
- Perform initial feasibility studies and risk assessments. \n
- Evaluate environmental impacts and identify legal issues. \n
- Prepare technical drawings and information for feasibility studies and construction projects. \n
- Compile drawings and information required for planning and statutory consents. \n
- Analyze architectural plans, highlighting risks and making amendments using CAD. \n
- Specify appropriate technology and tools for projects, advising on deviations from initial designs. \n
- Create 3D visuals/models to help stakeholders understand schemes. \n
- Assist the Senior Project Architect with technical drawings for design manuals. \n
- Liaise with architects, surveyors, and other construction professionals. \n
- Provide technical assistance to architects, design managers, and team members. \n
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of gym formats and design standards. \n
- Ensure personal development plans are in place. \n
- Represent the Development function positively and act as an ambassador for PureGym. \n
- Be recognized for making significant contributions across the Development function. \n

- You have previous experience as an Architectural Technologist. \n
- You are proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and ideally Revit. \n
- You possess a strong understanding of Building Regulations. \n
- You are ideally educated to degree level and demonstrate a track record of continuous professional development. \n
- You have experience contributing to multi-site property developments at scale. \n
- You have worked in or with large organizations in customer-facing industries like leisure, retail, or hospitality. \n
- You have a keen interest in architecture, mathematics, drawing, and design, with an excellent eye for detail. \n
- You excel in time management and meeting deadlines. \n
- You are creative, imaginative, and possess a strong vision. \n
- You are proactive, accountable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. \n
- You communicate effectively, simplifying complex messages and influencing at a senior level. \n
- You are commercially astute, evaluating investment decisions while balancing member brand expectations. \n
- You are member-focused, always striving to enhance the experience for all members. \n
- You are process-oriented, identifying and removing waste through lean thinking. \n
- You can work cross-functionally to deliver the best outcomes for members and PureGym. \n
- You have a passion for, or interest in, fitness and leisure. \n
- You are willing to travel as required. \n
