Operations Manager Permanent Monday - Friday Leek, Staffordshire Up to £55,000 dependant on experience We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of field operations within a growing compliance-led organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring operational services are delivered safely, efficiently, compliantly, and profitably. You'll oversee the planning and coordination of field-based engineers, drive operational performance, optimise resources, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. - Lead the daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of field-based engineers. \n
- Ensure work is allocated efficiently, balancing customer requirements, engineer competence, and operational capacity. \n
- Optimise engineer routes to maximise productivity while reducing travel time and operational costs. \n
- Oversee the mobilisation of approved works and ensure smooth operational delivery from quotation through to completion. \n
- Maintain clear visibility of all scheduled, live, and completed work across the business. \n
- Coordinate planned, reactive, and compliance-driven activities across multiple customer contracts. \n
- \n
- Monitor operational performance against agreed KPIs. \n
- Analyse planned versus actual job durations, travel times and engineer productivity. \n
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency. \n
- Monitor overtime, mileage, fuel usage and operational costs, driving continuous optimisation. \n
- Produce meaningful operational reports to support business decision-making. \n
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across operational delivery. \n

- Ensure all operational activities comply with company procedures, Health & Safety legislation and relevant industry guidance. \n
- Support compliance programmes and operational audit readiness. \n
- Review operational documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality. \n
- Ensure completed works meet customer requirements and quoted specifications. \n
- Verify service records, photographs, temperature logs and supporting documentation before completion. \n
- Support high standards of customer service and professional delivery at every stage. \n
- \n
- Review completed Risk Assessment reports and ensured recommendations are translated into operational actions. \n
- Coordinate annual Risk Assessment review programmes across customer sites. \n
- Monitor outstanding compliance actions and ensure corrective works are planned and completed. \n
- Work closely with Compliance teams and operational engineers to support ongoing regulatory compliance. \n

- Prepare quotations for remedial works, planned maintenance programmes and compliance-related services. \n
- Support operational costing and resource planning. \n
- Assist with contract mobilisation and implementation of new customer accounts. \n
- Contribute operational expertise to larger quotations, tenders and service improvement initiatives. \n
- \n
- Proven experience in an operations Manager or similar operational leadership role. \n
- Experience managing field-based engineers or mobile service teams. \n
- Strong scheduling, resource planning, and workload management skills. \n
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Experience monitoring operational performance and driving improvements through KPI analysis. \n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments. \n
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail. \n
- The ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. \n
- \n
- Experience within water hygiene, Legionella control, facilities management, or another compliance-led environment. \n
- Knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 or related industry guidance. \n
- Experience using scheduling software, CRM systems, or operational management platforms. \n
- Knowledge of fleet coordination and mobile workforce management. \n
