Quick Facts: Location: 1465 South Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63104 Start Date: 10/19/2026 End Date: 04/19/2027 Shift: Day shift, 4x8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00) Hours per week: 40 Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanency Licenses/Certifications: MO & IL medical licenses (preferred), BC in Genetics required, BLS, DEA, BNDD Experience: 2-5 years in genetics with metabolic disorder experience Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $156.00/hour Pay Package: Competitive pay discussed upon application Benefits Include: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure and certification reimbursements (travel, etc.) Paid sick time (per state and federal laws) Additional reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do: Conduct general genetics evaluations and manage biochemical/metabolic disorders Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, including in PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards Collaborate closely with genetic counselors and multidisciplinary teams Support diagnostic processes and treatment planning for pediatric patients with genetic and metabolic conditions Perform procedures related to pediatric genetics assessments Contribute to a dynamic clinical environment utilizing EPIC EMR software What You Need: Board Certification in Genetics (required); Board Eligible considered MO and IL medical licenses (or eligible to obtain) 2+ years of clinical experience in genetics and metabolic disorders Strong diagnostic skills and collaborative mindset Ability to support inpatient and outpatient care needs in a hospital setting About the Assignment: Support staff includes genetic counselors, a genetic nurse, and an assistant. The facility is an academic hospital with comprehensive pediatric and neonatal units, including a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Level IV NICU, and extensive subspecialty programs. The successful candidate will support a busy outpatient clinic with inpatient consults across pediatric specialties, contributing to cutting-edge pediatric healthcare delivery in a modern, expanding facility.
