Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Health Law & Litigation Latham, NY Fusco Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal on behalf of one of our valued clients, a well-established and highly respected law firm in the Capital Region. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage attorney calendars and schedules Manage case files from inception through trial Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands, subpoenas, and other legal documents Prepare cases for depositions, hearings, and trial Coordinate discovery deadlines and litigation schedules Review, organize, and Bates stamp medical records for discovery Assist with commercial real estate transactions Electronically file documents with local, state, and Federal Courts Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Support attorneys with special projects and additional legal administrative responsibilities Qualifications and Experience 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Litigation Legal Assistant, or Paralegal (additional experience welcomed) Civil and commercial litigation experience Experience drafting pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and legal correspondence Trial preparation and litigation support experience Ability to organize and review medical records Commercial real estate transaction experience Experience with e-filing in local, state, and Federal Courts Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with NetDocuments and TABS (STI) legal billing software is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required A willingness to learn and grow within specialized areas of litigation Salary $54,000-$70,000 Fusco Personnel takes great pride in successfully matching talent and culture for our valued clients.
