Job Description
The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) in Montgomery is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our distinguished and growing Medical Staff. \nThis position is assigned to the Orthopedic Section of Surgical Services and provides comprehensive orthopedic care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The surgeon will manage all phases of ambulatory care, hospitalized patients, surgical consults, and perioperative care.
\n? Major Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide full-spectrum orthopedic care for Veterans, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. \n
- Perform standard and intermediate orthopedic surgical procedures consistent with VHA guidelines and approved clinical privileges. \n
- Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical consults, including preoperative and postoperative care. \n
- Maintain hospital admitting privileges and manage surgical patients throughout their continuum of care. \n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compassionate, and effective patient care. \n
- Participate in quality improvement, practice-based learning, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. \n
- Maintain active privileges and remain clinically current in orthopedic surgery. \n
