The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho–Boise program is seeking a board-certified, broad-spectrum family physician to join its team as a full-time Family Medicine Core Faculty member.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about medical education, comprehensive patient care, and serving Idaho’s rural, underserved, and vulnerable populations.

About the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho–Boise

\n

The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho–Boise program is the core family medicine program at Full Circle Health. It is an ACGME-accredited, 12-12-12 residency program that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025.

\n

Our program is focused on training broad-spectrum family physicians who will serve rural and underserved populations throughout Idaho and beyond. Residents are prepared to become leaders and advocates within their communities.

\n

As one of the original Teaching Health Centers, the Boise residency provides training at four Full Circle Health clinics throughout the Treasure Valley. The program is supported by a large and experienced family medicine faculty with multiple areas of expertise, as well as a talented and enthusiastic resident body.

Residents and faculty staff 24/7 services at:

  • Saint Alphonsus: Inpatient medicine

  • St. Luke’s: Obstetrics and pediatrics

Our clinics offer multiple specialties within family medicine, a strong procedural focus, and care for a large population of underserved and vulnerable patients as a Federally Qualified Health Center.

The program is affiliated with the University of Washington School of Medicine and the WWAMI program. Appointment to the residency faculty includes an academic appointment with the University of Washington.

Students participate through third- and fourth-year clinical clerkships.

Work Schedule

\n

Faculty members work four days per week. The schedule includes:

  • Dedicated administrative time
  • \n
  • Precepting in both the clinic and hospital
  • \n
  • Providing direct clinical patient care
  • \n
\n

Evening and weekend hospital call is required.

\n

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required
  • \n
\n

Experience

\n
    \n
  • Previous faculty experience preferred
  • \n
  • Other relevant clinical patient care experience will be considered
  • \n
\n

Licensure and Certification

\n

Full Circle Health medical team members must:

\n
    \n
  • Be fully credentialed, licensed, and privileged at Full Circle Health and its partner hospitals
  • \n
  • Hold an unrestricted and unconditional license to practice medicine under the laws of the State of Idaho
  • \n
  • Maintain board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine
  • \n
  • Possess an unrestricted Board of Pharmacy registration
  • \n
  • Possess an unrestricted DEA registration
  • \n
  • Maintain all necessary federal narcotics and controlled-substance numbers and licenses
  • \n
  • Remain eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and all other third-party payment programs that contract with Full Circle Health
  • \n
