Medical Director Urgent Care Physician - West Texas - Block Scheduling

You'll step into a 100% urgent care role with built-in leadership as the Medical Director overseeing 2 freestanding clinics. This is an Urgent Care physician position with a predictable 7 on / 7 off schedule and no call. If you enjoy a mix of clinical care and APP oversight, this role is worth a closer look.

Practice Overview

• Team support includes NPs, PAs, MAs, LPNs, and Rad Techs; on-site x-ray available
• Typical urgent care procedures and presentations: URI/flu/COVID/RSV/strep, worker's comp, physicals, sprains/fractures, laceration repair, I&D, suturing
• Patient mix approx. 40% pediatrics / 40% adults / 20% geriatrics

Schedule

• 7 on / 7 off
• Approximately 40-hour work week with built-in administrative responsibilities
• No call responsibility
• Clinic hours at both urgent care sites: 9am-9pm Mon-Fri; 10am-6pm Sat-Sun

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: 300,000 + RVU production incentive
• Quality bonus: 20,000; Medical Director stipend: up to 36,000 annually
• 20,000 sign-on bonus; relocation assistance up to 10,000
• Benefits include health/dental/vision; Simple IRA after 1 year (3% match); licensure/DEA/associations reimbursed; no PTO

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Minimum 2 years of urgent care or relevant clinical experience strongly preferred
• Comfort supervising APPs and providing clinical oversight; strong communication and team leadership skills
• Previous leadership/Medical Director experience preferred
