Position: Operating Room Technician

Location: Redding, CA

Department: Surgical Services

Available Shifts: Per Diem - Days

Daily Compensation: Up to $910.00 to $1,120.00 gross pay

Key Responsibilities

The Operating Room Technician plays a crucial role in preparing sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical procedure. This includes:

  • Maintaining a sterile environment during surgeries
  • Providing the surgeon with necessary sterile supplies and instruments throughout the procedures
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training Requirements

  1. A High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience is required for new hires as of April 2014.
  2. Completion of an Operating Room Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job training with at least 3 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  3. Experience in scrubbing for both minor and major procedures across general surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General Surgery, and Plastics).
  4. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialized surgical areas (e.g., orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, etc.).
  5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
  6. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Technician is mandatory.
Compensation Transparency

Our organization offers competitive pay, with an estimated compensation range for this role between $65.00 and $80.00. This estimate is specific to New Jersey and may vary based on geographic location. The final compensation will be determined during the hiring process, taking into account various factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
