Atlas Management is hiring a Credentialing Coordinator for a major corporation in the Brentwood, TN area. This position is ideal for the individual that is an expert in CredentialStream implemented in the Credentialing Dept. This expert will assist in the implementation of CredentialStream and lead coordination with processes. Credentialing Coordinator Department: Medical Services / Human Resources / Compliance Reports To: Credentialing Manager, Director of Medical Operations, or HR Director Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p Location: Hybrid/Remote - Brentwood, Tn Salary: $30.00 per hour Status: 12 month contract Position Summary The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining credentialing, recredentialing, licensure, and compliance activities for healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, dentists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychologists, licensed counselors, social workers, and other behavioral health professionals. This role ensures all providers and licensed professionals meet regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements and maintains credential records within CredentialStream. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate initial credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging activities for providers and licensed healthcare professionals. Verify licenses, certifications, education, training, work history, board certifications, DEA registrations, malpractice coverage, and other required credentials. Maintain accurate credential files and provider records within CredentialStream. Monitor license, certification, and credential expiration dates and ensure timely renewals. Conduct sanction and exclusion monitoring, including OIG, SAM, NPDB, and other required databases. Support onboarding activities by coordinating credential verification, background checks, and required approvals. Prepare reports, audits, and compliance documentation related to credentialing and licensure status. Serve as the primary point of contact for credentialing inquiries from providers, staff, leadership, and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with Medical Services, Human Resources, Compliance, and Operations to ensure timely processing and ongoing compliance. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 to 5+ years of healthcare credentialing experience required. Experience credentialing providers and licensed healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, psychiatrists, nurses, and behavioral health clinicians. Hands-on experience using CredentialStream required. Knowledge of healthcare credentialing standards, primary source verification, licensure requirements, and regulatory compliance. Experience with CAQH, NPDB, OIG, payer enrollment, or accrediting body requirements preferred. Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
