We're looking for a Weekend Supervisor-in-Charge to join our team. The SIC will provide supervisory duties for 1st and 2nd shifts (7a-3p and 3-11p). Must be qualified as a Medication Aide for Adult Care Homes (Med Tech) and be listed as a CNA in good standing on NC Nurse Aide Registry or have documentation of completing 80 hour PCA training.
\nSupervisor In Charge provides supervisory support for healthcare staff in the form of chart management, medication management, assignment of daily and weekly tasks, as well as providing assistance with the activities of daily living for assigned residents
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\n- \n
- Represents the campus in a positive manner while creating an environment that fosters respect and courtesy for residents and employees alike. Works within the campus programs to promote safety and the well-being of all residents and employees. \n
- Upholds the campus's Mission Statement. \n
- Maintains HIPAA standards and regards all medical or healthcare information pertaining to residents and employees as confidential. \n
- Assists with supervision of the direct care staff comprised of CNAs, Caregivers and Med Techs in their assignment of daily and weekly tasks and ensures that all duties are completed for assigned shifts. \n
- Reports items / incidents for disciplinary action to the Resident Care Director. \n
- Services and provides support in evaluations of care staff performance. \n
- Reviews, organizes and amends resident charts and care plans. \n
- Reviews, organizes and amends all MARs and physician's orders for residents. \n
- Administers prescription medications at the appropriate times for assigned unit during shift. Signs off on all medications at the time of administration when necessary. \n
- Transfers all new prescriptions to the MAR from the physician's orders or admission orders such as an FL2. Faxes all prescription orders to the pharmacy at the time of resident admission. \n
- Attends care plan meetings and assists care plan team with care plan assessments as needed. \n
- Assists resident with the activities of daily living, which include but are not limited to personal hygiene, social and wellness activities, dining, safety and evacuations, bathing, dressing, and transporting when necessary. \n
- Performs assessments of residents at the assigned times and notes in the proper chart and on the computerized assessment tool any changes, unusual occurrences or reactions to medications or the environment. \n
- Takes and records vital signs for residents. \n
- Interfaces with physicians, hospitals, case workers, pharmacies, therapy groups, healthcare agencies, and other professional healthcare representatives as required. \n
- Acknowledges and follows the Resident Bill of Rights. \n
- Responsible for knowledge of fire and safety procedures including those involving blood-borne pathogens and all disaster preparedness procedures. \n
- Remains in proper attire at all times and maintains a high standard of appearance. \n
- Maintains professional development by attending in-service and continuing education programs. \n
- Trains in elopement procedures. \n
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Resident Care Director or Care Services Administrator. \n
- May be required to work some nights and weekends \n

\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
\n- \n
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant \n
- Current certification as Medication Aide for Adult Care Homes (Med Tech) \n
- Direct Previous Experience \n
- Two years' experience in a similar healthcare position (with supervisory experience) preferred. \n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
\n- \n
- Ability to work with minimal or close supervision. \n
- Must conduct all business with a professional manner and with a high level of confidentiality. \n
- Ability to exhibit efficient computer skills. \n
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) plus the willingness to learn other computer programs if required. Experience with Point Click Care is a plus. \n
- Work indoors (fluorescent lights, HVAC system, carpeted flooring, normal office noise levels). \n
- Climb up two flights of stairs \n
- Lift objects of 25 pounds or less over the head \n
- Move objects of 40 pounds or less. \n
- Sit in a chair/stand for extended periods of time \n
- Ability to work under time sensitive or stressful situations. \n
- Respond to medical emergencies on rare occasions. \n
- Assist with evacuations, if ever required. \n
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. \n
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards. \n
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given. \n
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. \n
