Machine Operator Location: Owego, NY (13827) Job ID: #72633 Pay Range: $16-18 Pay based on experience 1st Shift - Mon-Thurs 500am - 330pm some OT on FRIs or SATs US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency required Experience: 6mo's Machine Operations experience w/ small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws. THE COMPANY - Work with one of the Largest American Owned Aerospace & Defense Companies. SUMMARY Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws. May set-up machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled or CNC. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
