Overview: We are excited to present an opportunity for an OB/GYN Hospitalist in Northern California, strategically situated between San Francisco and Sacramento, close to the picturesque Napa Valley wine region.

In this role, the OB/GYN Hospitalist will be part of our esteemed healthcare system in Northern California. Our organization is perfectly positioned between the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, the scenic Napa Valley, and the bustling city of Sacramento. The arrival of a newborn is a momentous occasion. We strive to ensure that every patient’s experience is unforgettable. Annually, over 1,000 babies are welcomed at our medical center, contributing to a remarkable total of more than 60,000 since 1960. This achievement reflects our commitment to employing the most skilled and experienced professionals in the area. As a Baby-Friendly hospital, we also have a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, staffed with board-certified neonatologists, ready to provide additional support if needed.

Practice Details
  • Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
  • On-Call Schedule: 24-hour in-house
  • Electronic Medical Records: Currently using Cerner, transitioning to EPIC by October 2026
  • Team Support: Collaborative environment with Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals
  • Patient Volume: Average of 135 births per month, shared between two physicians
Facility Overview
  • 154-bed hospital
  • 8-bed labor and delivery unit
  • 13-bed postpartum unit
  • 16-bed Level 3 NICU
Qualifications
  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
  • Training: Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Licensure: Active and valid medical license in California
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred
  • Experience: Preferred minimum of one (1) year of experience, though recent residency graduates are encouraged to apply
Skills
  • Strong clinical and surgical expertise in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Exceptional communication abilities for effective patient education
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer proficiency
Compensation and Benefits
  • Income Guarantee: $436,800
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $50,000
  • Relocation Assistance: Available for eligible candidates, up to $20,000
  • Residency Stipend: Up to $24,000
  • Retention Bonus: $30,000 starting in the second year
