Quick Facts Location: Springfield, OH Start Date: 05/28/2026 Duration: Minimum 2 months, ongoing with sporadic coverage afterward Shift: Flexible (call coverage) Hours/week: As needed Employment Type: Locum / Temporary Licenses & Certs: Valid Medical License in Ohio; Board Certified/Eligible in Surgery Experience: 2+ years in Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery required Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $19.50/hour Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per state/federal laws Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 support team dedicated to your success What You’ll Do Provide call coverage for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Perform general CV/Thoracic/Vascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass, aneurysm repair, lung resection, and chest wall surgeries Manage ventilation and perform bronchoscopy Evaluate and treat acute cardiovascular and blood pressure issues Collaborate with onsite team and hospital staff to deliver high-quality patient care Utilize EPIC documentation system for charting and reporting Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards What You Need Ohio Medical License and Board Certification or Eligibility in Surgery Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery Proven competency in procedures such as CABG, aneurysm repair, lung resections, and endarterectomy Strong clinical skills in acute care settings and ventilation management Ability to work independently with minimal supervision About the Assignment Join a full-service hospital with 250 beds and 60 ICU beds, equipped with onsite lab and radiology services.
