Location: Kansas City, MO | Pay: 65-80k Salary Are you a quality leader ready to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our QA team, champion an organization-wide culture of continuous improvement, and maintain strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
You will lead quality systems, manage internal and external audits, resolve non-conformances, and partner closely with Production and Supply Chain leadership to ensure our products exceed customer expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesISO 9001:2015 Leadership: Serve as the on-site lead for surveillance and re-certification audits. Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems, procedures, and internal audit training.
Team Supervision: Mentor, supervise, and develop the QA Inspection team, including performance reviews, coaching, and workload management.
Corrective Action & Problem Solving: Analyze non-conformances, issue Corrective Action Responses (CAR), monitor implementations, and verify long-term effectiveness.
Customer & Client Alignment: Ensure technical specifications meet client expectations, investigate customer complaints, and coordinate swift resolutions.
Regulatory & Agency Oversight: Manage compliance tracking, approval systems, and delivery monitoring for contract and governing agency deliverables.
Quality Maintenance: Oversee documentation, quality control logs, and equipment calibration.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience: 2–5 years of QA experience in manufacturing/operations, with 1+ years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
Expertise: Hands-on experience with regulatory audits, compliance standards, and statistical analysis.
Skills: Proficient with MS Office and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Solid analytical, communication, and team leadership abilities.
Physical & Environment: Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs in a manufacturing facility setting.

Responsibilities
- Quality Management Systems & ISO Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain company QA systems and procedures. Serve as the primary on-site lead for ISO 9001:2015 surveillance and re-certification audits to ensure process adherence across all departments.
- Audit Leadership: Lead internal and external quality audits, and train internal auditors to ensure organizational readiness to industry standards.
- Team Leadership & Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop the QA Inspection team. Conduct annual performance reviews, handle employee relations matters, and oversee team timecard approvals.
- Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions: Analyze non-conformances, document Corrective Action Responses (CAR), monitor implementation, and measure long-term results to prevent recurrence.
- Customer Quality & Complaints: Ensure customer requirements and technical specifications are accurately met. Analyze customer quality complaints and coordinate cross-functional resolutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production and Supply Chain teams to resolve active quality issues, assist with new and existing product specifications, and recommend process improvements.
- Government & Agency Compliance: Manage tracking, monitoring systems, and approvals for planned deliveries of contract/governing agency product lines.
- Recordkeeping & Equipment Calibration: Oversee maintenance of quality records, compliance logs, documentation, and the proper calibration of testing equipment.
