\n*Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do):*\n

\nAs an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting both our consumers and our employer partners. Your duties will include:\n
\n
\n* *Consumer Coaching & Support:*\n
\n* Helping individuals with disabilities/employment barriers learn and master job duties.\n
\n* Assisting consumers in building essential job skills.\n
\n* Identifying barriers to employment and developing creative strategies to overcome them.\n
\n* Supporting consumers in their roles to ensure they "Thrive" in community employment.\n
\n* *Job Development & Readiness:*\n
\n* Assisting in conducting comprehensive job searches and completing applications.\n
\n* Providing expert assistance with resume completion and interview preparation.\n
\n* Marketing and communication with community businesses to build and maintain partnerships.\n
\n* *Employer Relations:*\n
\n* Serving as a liaison to ensure our partnered employers have high-quality, successful employees.\n
\n
\n*Qualifications (What You'll Bring):*\n
\n
\nWe are looking for a candidate who is professional, proactive, and excels at creative problem-solving.\n
\n
\n* *Passion & Professionalism:*\n
\n* A genuine passion for helping others and a professional, positive attitude in all interactions.\n
\n* *Education & Experience:*\n
\n* A Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience is required.\n
\n* Degree preference in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Education, or a related field.\n
\n* *Skills & Abilities:*\n
\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coaching and collaboration.\n
\n* "Outside the box" quality of thinking and ability to adapt.\n
\n* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\n
\n* A professional and passionate commitment to helping others achieve their goals.\n
\n* *Commitment & Compliance:*\n
\n* Reliable transportation is required.\n
\n* Must be able to pass a background check.\n
\n* Must complete all required professional development standards mandated by the State of Iowa for employment in a Community Rehabilitation Provider setting within the required timelines.\n
