:The outpatient care unit nurse demonstrates knowledge of endoscopic procedures. This registered nurse oversees and directs the care of pre and post endoscopy patients. The outpatient care unit nurse assesses overall recovery from endoscopic procedures and conscious sedation and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.\n

Education

\n

Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program

\n

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

\n

Experience

Preferred: Previous nursing experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri

\n

Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days

Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
