Compensation: $28.68 - $34.72 per hour, depending on prior experience.
Work Schedule: PRN

Qualifications (What You Bring)

  • Graduation from an accredited Therapy Assistant program. Must be eligible for certification and/or licensure according to state regulations.
  • Must be a registered assistant or eligible for registration in Colorado.
  • Ability to comprehend medical terminology and its relevance to therapy, facilitating effective communication with residents, staff, and physicians, as well as preparing meaningful reports.

Key Responsibilities

The COTA will deliver high-quality ongoing therapy to all patients in the facility as directed by physicians. Continuous communication with therapists, residents, and staff regarding the progress of therapy programs is essential. The COTA will assist therapists with resident-related activities and direct patient care while maintaining departmental records in accordance with facility policies.

  • Administers therapy treatments and related tasks as assigned by the therapist.
  • Provides therapy to residents based on written orders from their attending physician, specifically:
  • Reports on residents’ progress to the therapist and attending physician.
  • Consults with the therapist and physician regarding any changes in residents’ conditions during treatment.
